Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)

Description: The Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) test measures the level of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in your blood. This hormone is produced by a gland in your brain. In women FSH stimulates the production of eggs and is important in the regulation of menstruation. In men FSH stimulates the production of sperm. A significant deviation from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.
